The Two Mile Jade occurrence is located about 60 kilometres east-southeast of the community of Dease Lake.

The occurrence is underlain by Upper Mississippian to Permian ultramafic rocks of the Cache Creek Complex. These rocks consist of peridotite, dunite, and pyroxenite which are generally serpentinized.

The host rocks locally include pods of nephrite jade; three such pods are plotted on Geological Survey of Canada Open File map 2779 near the headwaters of Two Mile Creek. The characteristics of these pods are not documented.

In 2015, King Mountain Jade Mines Inc. undertook a reconnaissance exploration program on their King property. The objective of the program was to walk the entire property and catalog if there were nephrite boulders. In addition, a detailed analysis using air photos and Google Earth was completed. King Mountain Jade Mines Inc. identified 16 nephrite boulders and a potential primary source of these boulders during the 2015 exploration program. It was recommended that the company obtain the necessary permits to evaluate the quality of the known boulders and undertake a detailed program evaluating the possible primary source of the boulders.
